1-TEAMS:
Each Team must represent a country and must be made of 11 players (6 players +
1 Goal Keeper + 4 substitutes).
At least 3 of those players must either come from the country they represent or
have heritage from that country.
At least 1 player of the team must speak the language spoken in that country.
Those players will be asked to represent their country during various events such
as the tournament drawing, meeting with sponsors or media, prizes presentation,
etc.
Teams are allowed to play in several Qualifying Tournaments.
2-PLAYERS:
Players must be male and must be over 16 years old the day of tournament to be
allowed to play.
Players can play in several qualifying tournaments but are not allowed to play in
two different teams during one single tournament.
Female players are not allowed to play in any team unless written authorization is
given by the Chicago World Cup LLC, organizer of the tournaments.
3-JERSEYS:
For the qualifying tournaments, each Team must bring two sets of numbered
jerseys of two different colors, one home color and one away color.
For the Soldier Field finals, each Team will receive a free set of numbered soccer
jerseys (Home color). Each Team must bring an alternate set of numbered jersey
(Away color).
Home and Away colors of each Team must be approved by the Chicago World Cup
LLC, at least one month prior to the first tournament played by that team.
4-SHORTS / SOCKS:
All the players of a same team must wear same color shorts and socks. Color must
be approved at least a month prior to the first tournament played. This
requirement will guarantee the quality of the official Teams pictures that might be
used by the media or by the Chicago World Cup LLC for advertising,
communication or marketing purpose.
5-QUALIFYING TOURNAMENTS:
The purpose of the qualifying tournaments is to establish a ranking between the
participating teams in order to select only the best Teams to play in the Soldier
Field finals.
Three qualifying tournaments will be played in Chicago.
Up to 16 Men's team will play in each qualifier.
This represent a total of up to 48 Teams playing in the qualifying tournaments.
Ranking / Qualification:
The winning team of each qualifying tournament will play for free in the Soldier
Field finals (3 Teams).
The other 45 teams will be ranked according to their results in the qualifying
tournaments in order to select only the nest teams to play in Soldier Field.
6-SOLDIER FIELD FINALS
Only 32 Teams will play in the Soldier Field finals.
Each of the 32 Teams will play at least one game in Soldier Field.
Qualification:
There are 3 ways to qualify to play in the Soldier Field finals:
1- Win one of the three Chicago World Cup Qualifying tournaments (Max. 3
Teams)
2- Play one of the three Chicago World Cup Qualifying tournaments and pay the
Soldier Field Finals CWC team sign-up fee ($375).
3- Apply for a spot via EthniCitySoccer.com based on your team's palmares/results
in past tournaments and nationwide qualifying tournaments and pay the Soldier
Field Finals "Other Teams" sign-up fee ($750).
Schedule:
Saturday July 10th: All Teams play their first 2 "Groups stage" games in the
Chicago YMCA Rauner.
Sunday July 11th: All Teams play their last "Groups stage" game in Soldier Field.
All Playoff games are played in Soldier Field (Round of 16, Round of 8, Semis, Final)
